If you went to a restaurant you would leave a tip. Prep for High Tea is hours of work on our feet. Honestly, if you aren't happy about leaving a tip, then please don't book a High Tea. The cost barely covers the food, electricity, and gas used.
There seems to be confusion about the time Afternoon Tea is served. Eleven o'clock is unreasonable, and noon is lunch! We are not a restaurant and we don't do lunch!
During the summer we only take High Tea bookings Monday to Thursday, as we are full of guests and need the dining room.
While both afternoon tea and high tea are served in the afternoon, one key difference between them is the time of day. Afternoon tea is typically served around 4 pm, while high tea tends to be served later in the afternoon (around 5- 7 pm).
