Grand Bend plays host to one of the largest Canada Day celebrations on Lake Huron’s shoreline. But only in Grand Bend can you have more fun!

EXETER RAM RODEO
The Exeter Rodeo continues to attract thousands of enthusiastic fans, eager to capture the challenges, dangers and thrills experienced by the competitors as they compete against the clock in this rough-tough sport. Plan for an action packed weekend in Exeter as the Ram Rodeo tour winds its way through Central and Southern Ontario communities throughout the summer.
For youngsters to express their creative abilities there will be a colouring contest sponsored by Dairy Queen. Drop your completed sheet off at DQ and when you purchase a mini blizzard you will receive a second one free! These will be displayed in store front windows a few weeks prior to the rodeo.
Kick off to Rodeo weekend will begin on Friday night when access to the grounds is free for all ages sponsored by the South Huron Optimist Club. The western-themed event through Party Perfect will feature a moon bounce, games and a RAM Rodeo Olympics for the kids.
The Exeter Saddle Club will host Rebekah Stevens, a country/pop singer-songwriter on Friday night in the Ag Building. As well as being a 2013 Boots & Hearts Top 8 Emerging Artist Finalist, Rebekah has shared the stage with Aaron Prtichett & Wes Mack. Age of Majority is required to attend this event. Cost is $15.00 at the door – 9 pm – 1 am.
Gates open at 2 pm on Saturday with the twilight show starting at 4 pm. The show goes rain or shine.
To kick off Saturdays events, join us at the tailgate party where Jason Maxwell will entertain the crowd from 2:00 – 3:30 pm and again from 6:30 – 8:30 pm. Food and beverage will be available.
Emerging young country Artist Chelsea Crites, will be performing in the tent on Saturday evening from 9:00 – 11:30 pm. This family friendly event is free of charge. Chelsea has been busy in Southern Ontario since 2009 performing weekly. She’s toured Canada, opened for everyone fromRascal Flatts to Tim Hicks at numerous festivals and fairs, has 3 national radio releases, performed several CCMA showcases from 2013-2016, has a brand new single and video set for release Summer 2017 and most recently took 3rd Place at the "Claim2Fame" International Contest.
For the youngsters, there will be a sheep scramble at intermission on Saturday and Sunday, sponsored by the Exeter Lions Club. This is a great opportunity for youngsters to experience the cowboy way of life. Bring your camera to capture the moment and enjoy memories you will treasure forever.
